The Manhattan Grand Jury decided to indict Donald Trump on the charges related to the "hush money" payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Joe Tacopina, one of Trump's lawyers, confirmed this news on Thursday.
What Does Trump's Indictment Mean?
Trump's indictment is because of the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels on his behalf right before the elections of 2016.
It's believed that Trump's Attorney at the time, Michael Cohen, took responsibility for the payment to the porn star. This payment was paid so Ms. Daniels would stay quiet about the sexual interaction Trump and Daniels had in July 2006.
What is Happening Now?
To indict Trump of these charges simply means that Trump is formally accused of committing a crime. This has never happened to any American President.
The charges are not public yet. According to some sources, there are 34 counts of charges related to falsifying business records.
Trump's lawyer at the time, Cohen, testified before the Manhattan Grand, and in 2018 he pleaded guilty to campaign finance charges related to the "hush money" payment to Ms. Daniels.
Cohen announced that he paid Daniels $130,000 and, later on, during Trump's Presidency, he received $35,000 monthly from Trump's personal account.
In Cohen's federal case, they revealed documents, showing that The Trump Organization falsely described these payments as a Legal Expense.
Now, the charges evolve around the money that Trump paid Cohen. The Manhattan Grand Jury believes that the payment that Trump made to Cohen is a Violation of State law.
What Can We Expect to Happen Next?
Trump and his team have denied any allegations related to any cases. Trump believes that he is innocent and that these cases are nothing but "political hoaxes" and "witch hunts."
Trump immediately set out an announcement on Social media after the indictment. "This is a political prosecution and election interference at the highest level in history," he said.
He believes that the democratic party is "cheating" and throwing him off of the president's race by bringing up these unfair cases.
"Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, who was hand-picked and funded by George Soros, is a disgrace." His words describe the District Attorney of Manhattan Alvin Bragg.
According to Trump, Bragg is "doing Biden's dirty work rather than stopping the unprecedented wave of crime taking over New York City."
Wrapping Up
Many consider Trump's dream of once again becoming the president over. He has announced that he will surrender in New York on Monday. He will be taken into custody and will go through the process that any criminal goes throw.
This case was believed to be inevitable by many. There was no way for Trump, and even if by a miracle he becomes the president, he has one too many people in the government of the US who don't like him.
But regardless of what is happening, Trump announced "I believe this Witch-Hunt will backfire massively on Joe Biden. The American people realize exactly what the Radical Left Democrats are doing here. Everyone can see it. So our movement and our Party —united and strong— will first defeat Alvin Bragg, and then we will defeat Joe Biden, and we are going to throw every last one of these Crooked Democrats Out of Office so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Meanwhile, Joe Biden has stated that he has no comments on Trump’s indictment, which has caused much speculation on social media.

Trump's case is like any other legal case and takes years to schedule and process. It is more likely to see it last more than a year than to see it immediately reach a conclusion. So there is a chance that they can extend the process to overpass the presidential election. Many people support Trump, but he's never been under more pressure than he is now.
