AWE started with the SheCommerce event. As always, we were very inspired by women entrepreneurs. What I like about the event is that there are a lot of girls from outside the industry, these are fresh people, fresh ideas and interesting experiences.
The event was organized at the highest level: a great cozy place, an ideal division into zones for networking and chilling, large stands. Thanks to these factors, all participants were ready both to learn useful tips from industry gurus and to establish new business contacts. And the mild Spanish climate and refreshing sangria helped to relax and enjoy the magical atmosphere
Unfortunately, I have to admit that the tickets were very expensive, and not everyone could afford to spend 1200 euros just for admission, not to mention the cost of hotels and tickets to Barcelona. But the organizers of the conference always give you the opportunity to buy a ticket with a 50% discount. In February, you could buy a ticket for 600 euros, which is still expensive, but the final price is much higher.
The organization of the event was a bit chaotic, all the participants were mostly unhappy with the queues at the entrance. On the first day, the queue began to line up on the street in front of the entrance, and on the second day, the conference hall opened at 11:30 without warning the conference participants.
Despite the abundance of stands (100 exhibition places), each of them had a queue of people who wanted to communicate with representatives of partner programs, advertising networks and services. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of partners, advertising buyers and speakers at the conference.
For those who wanted to listen to the reports, two zones were organized: the main hall, where the speakers made detailed presentations, and an area for a break between speeches. Those who did not have access to the performances could watch a short presentation in these recreation areas and ask their questions. It was a great idea, thanks to the organizers for it.
In general, all the speakers moved freely around the exhibition area and were open to communication.
