I am quite experienced in the world of affiliate marketing and I have partnered with several companies over the years. My take on this affiliate scheme is mostly positive. Actually, it is all positive as there is nothing I disagree with. The platform is amazing and tracking your progress and the progress of those under you is easy. The support always comes in handy and they are quick to respond.

Very easy to use and great for building a portfolio of work, you can personalize your page with the video positioning and categorize them into folders which helps future clients find videos easier. I particularly like the simplicity of sharing the video with clients via private links rather than file sharing.

I can't find many negatives for Vimeo, and overall my experience has been a positive one. The only thing that comes to mind is that repositioning the videos can take a while when you're doing it in bulk. We had to unpin each video individually, we tried to google a quicker/easier option but couldn't find anything; that's not to say it could be a user error.

The biggest advantage to using Vimeo is that it allows you to lock videos to limited specific domains and/or to offer them for sale. I have recommended Vimeo to people for each of these properties individually and used both options myself — we've also done awesome things like embed a Vimeo live stream into our community platform and then have the recording auto-embedded after the event. It all works pretty smoothly once you figure out the initial tech setup.
