"In August 2022, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. swore in the new board of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), appointing businessman and close associate Alejandro H. Tengco (Alejandro H. Tengco) as chairman. Alejandro H. Tengco (Alejandro H. Tengco). Tengco will succeed Andrea Domingo.
As PAGCOR walks a fine line between operator and regulator, Tengco will have some tough decisions to make in the coming months, including whether to proceed with plans to sell its 47 casinos. While those plans were initially shelved due to the health care crisis, PAGCOR is now facing renewed calls to revisit the separation between operator and regulator."
