Confirmo Review
7.1/10Prague-born crypto gateway dual-licensed by the Central Bank of Ireland (MiCA CASP Dec 2025, Payment Institution Apr 2026), stablecoin-first with USDT and USDC on six chains plus BTC Lightning, $80M+ monthly volume, and an iGaming vertical still waiting for its first named operator.
Our read
Roughly 10 tokens (USDT and USDC on up to six chains, BTC with Lightning, ETH, SOL, LTC, TRX, POL) is the narrowest list in the segment, with no cards, no cash leg, and fiat appearing only at settlement. Stablecoin depth is the one strength inside that narrowness.
MiCA CASP from the Central Bank of Ireland (Dec 16, 2025) plus an Irish PI (Apr 9, 2026), both EEA-passported. Deducted for the no-custody scope and a multi-entity map where non-EEA contracting sits outside the Irish licenses.
Public REST v3.1 docs with OpenAPI and Postman, a hosted Checkout, a WooCommerce plugin, and a Corefy connector. Held back by no published sandbox and no casino-platform connectors at all.
Mass payouts via API, automated conversion, and recurring bank settlements running under the company's own PI license. No payout SLA or settlement schedule is published.
Twelve years in market, transparent ownership, and a named non-gambling roster, against zero named gambling clients to prove the iGaming positioning.
Nothing is on a rate card: fees live in a contractual Fee Schedule, and the one fee the T&Cs name is a dormancy charge. Volume tiering is the only consistent public signal.
Methodology. Our own score, a weighted average of six dimensions, tilted toward licensing and trust. The crypto-gateway weighting loads 0.26 onto compliance and 0.18 each onto trust and settlement, and that shape decides this file: a dual-license 8.2 and a 12-year record carry a gateway whose coin list scores 5.6 and whose price list nobody outside a signed Agreement has seen to an overall 7.1. - Dual license from one central bank: MiCA CASP (Dec 16, 2025, ref C570624) plus an Irish Payment Institution authorization (Apr 9, 2026), both passporting EEA-wide and both in place before the July 1, 2026 grandfathering cutoff.
- A 12-year lineage from the 2014 Prague start as BitcoinPay, built by the founders of the regulated Coinmate exchange.
- Stablecoin-first architecture that matches where operator payments went by 2026: USDT and USDC across six chains, BTC with Lightning, stablecoin-to-stablecoin since July 2025, and Paxos carrying the US push.
- A named enterprise roster (Trezor, Alza, FTMO, MassPay) behind $80M+ monthly volume across 800+ clients (Dec 2025), with named founders, the Miton investment, and both group and EU CEOs public.
- A developer surface an engineer can scope alone: public REST v3.1 docs with an OpenAPI spec and Postman import, an open-source WooCommerce plugin, and a ready-made Corefy connector.
- Pricing is not published anywhere. The T&Cs defer every fee to a contractual Fee Schedule and name an Abandoned Account fee on dormant balances, so a buyer starts the negotiation with nothing.
- Not a single named gambling client. The iGaming page is feature copy with no operator reference, case study, or testimonial behind it.
- The narrowest coin coverage in the segment: roughly 10 tokens where CoinGate carries about 20 and NOWPayments 350+, which rules out operators with an altcoin tail.
- The entity map is multi-legged: Irish, Czech, US, and Dominican Republic companies sit on the legal page, so pin down which entity signs your flows and under which authorization.
EU and EEA-licensed operators that want crypto deposits, mass payouts, and automated bank settlement on a MiCA-authorized, CBI-supervised rail, with stablecoins doing most of the work.
Operators that need long-tail altcoins, named casino references, or direct US processing, and grey-market books, since the Irish licenses carry only the EEA leg and merchant eligibility sits in a non-public Commercial Policy.
Markets & licensing
Confirmo Limited in Dublin holds the strongest license pair in this segment: a MiCA CASP authorization from the Central Bank of Ireland dated December 16, 2025 (ref C570624) and an Irish Payment Institution authorization dated April 9, 2026. Both passport EEA-wide, and both were in place before MiCA grandfathering ended on July 1, 2026. The caveats: the CASP scope excludes custody, and the legal page also lists a Confirmo SRL in the Dominican Republic alongside the Czech and US entities.
Confirmo holds no US money-transmitter licenses and no FinCEN MSB registration. The US entry announced in February 2026 runs through a partnership with Paxos, with the operating model unpublished, so a US-facing operator should ask directly which entity and which license would carry its flows. Confirmo US LLC exists on the legal page, but an entity is not a license.
No Confirmo entity holds an FCA registration, and the expansion story (Irish hub, Paxos-led US push) does not include the UK. A UK-facing operator has no Confirmo entity to contract under UK rules today.

- Exchange of crypto-assets for funds, exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets, and transfer services on behalf of clients. No custody. · Confirmo Limited · authorized Dec 16, 2025 · ref C570624 · MiCA CASP under Article 63
- Ireland (CBI) Payment InstitutionIreland / EEA
- Payment services under the Irish Payment Services Regulations 2018, covering the fiat settlement leg · Confirmo Limited · authorized Apr 9, 2026 · PSD2 Payment Institution authorization
Licensing tier: Regulatory substance without gambling paper. The dual authorization from one regulator is rarer than it sounds, and Confirmo crossed the July 1, 2026 grandfathering cutoff fully authorized. The deductions are structural: no custody in the CASP scope, no gambling supplier licenses anywhere, no UK or own US footprint, and non-EEA contracting sitting outside the Irish licenses.
The Irish authorizations passport across the EEA under free provision of services. No named gambling operator exists anywhere public to anchor a live-market list beyond that.
No restricted-market list is published. The T&Cs defer merchant eligibility to a non-public Commercial Policy, and the Irish terms never mention gambling in either direction.

Integrations & engineering
One contract and one API instead of a separate deal per studio, feed, or PSP. Here's what connects, how fast, and on what stack.
Operators integrate against the public REST v3.1 API with API-key authorization over HTTPS, using hosted Checkout or the Deposits API for pay-ins and the payouts endpoint (POST /api/v3/payouts) for single and mass withdrawals. Invoice-based detection drives status: the gateway watches the invoice address, updates with on-chain confirmations, and locks the exchange rate inside a validity window. Conversion is configured per merchant across crypto, stablecoins, and fiat, with bank settlements that can run fully automated and recurring under the Irish PI license. Operators on Corefy can take the ready-made connector instead of building direct, and e-commerce merchants get an open-source WooCommerce plugin.
Not published. Neither an integration estimate nor a KYB turnaround appears in the docs or anywhere on the site.
Products & tools
Three surfaces cover the flow: hosted Checkout and the Deposits API on the way in, single and mass Payouts on the way out, and automated conversion with recurring bank settlements underneath, all documented publicly at docs.confirmo.net.
Crypto Gateway: Checkout & Deposits
The pay-in side: a hosted Checkout and a Deposits API built around invoice-based payment detection, an exchange-rate lock per invoice, and a deliberately narrow, stablecoin-first token set with BTC Lightning support.
- USDT on six chains (Ethereum, Tron, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain) and USDC on five (Jul 2026)
- BTC with Lightning, plus ETH, SOL, POL, LTC, and TRX, summed up as 10+ currencies
- Invoice-based detection: the gateway watches the invoice address and updates status with on-chain confirmations
- Exchange-rate lock with a validity window on every invoice
- Zero-gas stablecoin payments through the Plasma chain partnership (Jan 2026)
- 99.97% uptime (Jul 2026)
Payouts & Fiat Settlement
The pay-out side: single and mass crypto payouts through the API, automated conversion between crypto, stablecoins, and fiat, and recurring bank-account settlements that run under Confirmo's own Irish Payment Institution license.
- Mass payouts to a selected number of wallets simultaneously, per the iGaming page
- Programmatic payouts via POST /api/v3/payouts in the public docs
- Automated conversion across crypto, stablecoins, and fiat
- Bank-account settlements that can be fully automated and recurring
- Stablecoin-to-stablecoin payments since Jul 7, 2025
- Payouts debited from a merchant Balance, with no custody service per the T&Cs
API v3.1 & Developer Surface
A public REST v3.1 API with API-key auth, an OpenAPI spec, Postman import, and an llms.txt index, plus an open-source WooCommerce plugin and a ready-made connector listed by orchestrator Corefy.
- Public docs at docs.confirmo.net with no login (Jul 2026)
- REST v3.1 over HTTPS with API-key authorization headers
- OpenAPI spec download, Postman import, and an llms.txt AI index
- Open-source WooCommerce plugin at github.com/confirmo, plus a community PHP library
- Ready-made Confirmo connector listed by Corefy (Jul 2026)

The history
Sales decks get rewritten for every deal. A dated record doesn't.
Dan Houška and Roman Valihrach started the company in Prague in 2014 as BitcoinPay, processing Bitcoin and Litecoin in partnership with Coinmate, the regulated Czech exchange the same two had founded. The rebrand to Confirmo came later, and in January 2022 Czech VC Miton put tens of millions of CZK into both affiliated companies. Management has since professionalized: the founders no longer appear in the listed leadership (Valihrach runs Coinmate), and the center of gravity moved to Dublin, where Confirmo Limited took a MiCA CASP authorization from the Central Bank of Ireland in December 2025 and an Irish Payment Institution license in April 2026, making it one of Europe's first dual-licensed stablecoin payment providers. 2026 brought a US push through Paxos and three senior North America and Europe hires in May.

Longevity and ownership
Switching vendors is expensive, which makes the company's staying power part of the purchase. What the contract says about your data decides how expensive an exit gets.
Confirmo vs alternatives
No two vendors describe themselves the same way, which makes their own claims hard to line up. Every name here answers the same fields, so you can see where this one sits against the closest alternatives.

The take: CoinsPaid is the gambling-native pick with a deep operator roster, while Confirmo shows the mirror image: a dual Irish license and not one named casino. CoinGate holds its own MiCA CASP in Lithuania and publishes pricing, which Confirmo does not, and NOWPayments wins on raw coin count with no comparable licensing at all. Pick Confirmo when the compliance file matters more than the reference list, and make the Fee Schedule the first document you request.
Settlement & commercials
Confirmo prices per deal, so exact figures land in the contract rather than on a public rate card.
Per-transaction fees that scale down with turnover, set in a private Fee Schedule that forms part of the Agreement.
Pricing is quoted per deal, with fees scaling down with volume. No setup fees, monthly minimums, rolling-reserve terms, or minimum-volume requirements appear anywhere public, and the one named fee is the Abandoned Account charge on dormant balances.

Onboarding path
- 1Contact Confirmo sales, since every fee lives in the contractual Fee Schedule, with nothing on the site
- 2Clear B2B onboarding (KYB) with Confirmo Limited in Dublin for EEA business, and ask directly which entity signs non-EEA flows
- 3Scope the build from the public docs at docs.confirmo.net: REST v3.1, API-key auth, OpenAPI spec, Postman collection
- 4Integrate hosted Checkout or the Deposits API for pay-ins and wire POST /api/v3/payouts for single and mass withdrawals
- 5Configure conversion and settlement: which assets you keep, what auto-converts to stablecoins or fiat, and the recurring bank-settlement schedule
- 6Go live and reconcile against invoice statuses, budgeting extra test care since no public sandbox is published
Support & account management
You can't demo service before you sign, so what a vendor puts in writing is the only floor you can hold it to.
Frequently asked
The things operators actually ask before signing.
Is Confirmo actually licensed under MiCA?+
Yes. The Central Bank of Ireland authorized Confirmo Limited as a MiCA CASP on December 16, 2025, reference C570624, with EEA-wide passporting. An Irish Payment Institution authorization followed on April 9, 2026, covering the fiat leg, so both sides crossed the July 1, 2026 grandfathering cutoff fully licensed. One footnote remains: the CASP scope covers exchange and transfer services but not custody.
Does Confirmo work with online casinos?+
It clearly wants to: there is a dedicated iGaming page covering deposits, automated settlements, mass payouts to player wallets, and BTC Lightning. What there is not, anywhere public, is a single named gambling client, case study, or operator testimonial. The Irish T&Cs never mention gambling in either direction, so ask directly which entity would contract a gambling business and under which acceptance policy.
Which coins and chains does Confirmo support?+
The iGaming page (July 2026) lists USDT on Ethereum, Tron, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and BNB Smart Chain, USDC on five of those, BTC on Bitcoin and Lightning, ETH on three networks, plus SOL, POL, LTC, and TRX, with the homepage rounding it to 10+ currencies. That is the narrowest coverage in this segment by far (CoinGate carries about 20 coins, NOWPayments 350+), and it is deliberate: the product is stablecoin-first, with automated conversion into stablecoins or fiat and bank settlement behind it, plus zero-gas stablecoin payments through the Plasma partnership since January 2026.
What does Confirmo cost?+
You don't find out until you sign, which is the weakest part of the offer. The current site has no pricing page, and the T&Cs defer every fee to a contractual Fee Schedule that forms part of the Agreement. What the public record does support: fees scale down with turnover, and the T&Cs name an Abandoned Account fee on dormant balances. Make the Fee Schedule the first document you request in the sales process.
