Aristocrat Interactive Review

6.4/10

Aristocrat Leisure's online division carrying the former BtoBet sportsbook inside a modular stack: a PAM across 30 regulated markets, managed trading on third-party feeds, a white-label umbrella on Aspire-heritage MGA licenses with UKGC coverage through AG Communications, and FireKeepers live in Michigan since October 2025.

Our take

Aristocrat Interactive sells the same stack two ways. Modular buyers take the PAM, the ex-BtoBet book, and the managed trading desk on their own license. White-label buyers launch the whole thing on the Aspire-heritage MGA entities, where the GB side sits on AG Communications' UKGC account and its £1,407,834 settlement of March 2025, after £237,600 in 2022. The white-label route is closed to North America since the Ontario brands shut in November 2025, while direct supply runs in Michigan, where FireKeepers moved off OpenBet in October 2025. Coverage depth, supplier names, and pricing all come through sales.

Our read

Strengths
  • MGA B2C coverage with casino and fixed-odds types on two Aspire entities, plus GB through AG Communications' UKGC account with 58 sites on it.
  • The FireKeepers displacement: a flagship Michigan tribal operator moved its platform and managed trading off OpenBet onto the full Aristocrat Interactive stack, live October 8, 2025, with a shared wallet and loyalty that earns online and redeems on property.
  • Division revenue grew 53.8% to A$344.3M in FY25, with an A$1B target by FY2029.
  • One vendor covers PAM, sportsbook, managed trading, managed services, and content through Fusion, and the white label carries a transition path onto your own platform later.
Watch-outs
  • Two UKGC settlements sit on the white-label umbrella entity: AG Communications settled at £1,407,834 in March 2025 for social responsibility and AML failings spanning May 2023 to October 2024, after £237,600 in 2022, the license history a white-label brand runs on.
  • Betiton and MagicRed launched in Ontario in December 2024 and January 2025 and were shut down by November 2025, and the white-label offer now excludes North America.
  • No public API docs or sandbox behind the stack.
  • Three owners in four years for the sportsbook line, the BtoBet brand retired in June 2024, Dylan Slaney replacing Moti Malul as division CEO in November 2025, and Nir Hakarmeli in the iGaming and Sports MD seat since the same year.
Best for

Independent .com and EU-facing operators who want a full-service white label with casino and sportsbook under one MGA umbrella, and US tribal or commercial operators weighing an omnichannel PAM-plus-sportsbook alternative to OpenBet or Kambi on the FireKeepers pattern.

Not for

Anyone shopping a North America white label (excluded outright), Brazil-first operators (no sportsbook certification), and buyers who need coverage figures or pricing before a sales call.

Markets & licensing

The licensing picture sits in Aspire-heritage entities. The Malta umbrella is Aspire Global International Limited under MGA/CRP/148/2007, a B2C license carrying Type 1 casino and Type 2 fixed odds betting including live, with Aspire Global 7 Limited on a sub-license of the same number. Great Britain runs through AG Communications Limited (UKGC account 39483, trading as AspireGlobal, 58 websites), with a second account, Aspire Global Limited (41204), alongside it. Michigan supplier licensing sits behind the live FireKeepers deal.

United States
One live account, white label off the table

The FireKeepers launch on October 8, 2025 put the full PAM, sportsbook, and managed-services stack live in Michigan and displaced OpenBet at a flagship tribal property. The white label is not sold in the region at all: it serves operators outside North America only, a rule that followed the Betiton and MagicRed exits from Ontario in November 2025.

United Kingdom
Licensed, with two UKGC settlements

AG Communications has held its UKGC remote casino license since November 2014 and carries 58 websites, with a second account, Aspire Global Limited (41204), alongside it. AG Communications settled at £1,407,834 in March 2025 for social responsibility and AML failings spanning May 2023 to October 2024, after £237,600 in 2022, and a white label on this license runs on that history.

A vendor's lineup often mixes its own builds with other companies' products plugged in. When the sportsbook is third party, a second company stands behind your contract.

How it connects

Integrations & engineering

One contract and one API instead of a separate deal per studio, feed, or PSP. Here's what connects, how fast, and on what stack.

One unified API

Two routes onto the stack. Modular buyers take the 'a la carte style portfolio', the Sportsbook Platform, the iGaming PAM, Player Engage CRM, and Managed Services in whatever combination fits, on their own license. White-label operators get the full front and back end on Aspire-heritage licenses, outside North America only, with support, wallets, fraud prevention, and hosting handled, plus the option to migrate onto their own platform later. The vendor runs its own PAM, so there is no host-platform connector.

The history

Longevity in this industry usually comes with a change of owner somewhere in it.

The sportsbook line starts with BtoBet, founded by Alessandro Fried with co-founder Igor Lestar, run from Gibraltar with development centers in Skopje, Ohrid, Bitola, and Rome, and built around the Neuron platform, with Neuron 3 on show by 2018. Aspire Global bought it in October 2020 for €20M plus an earnout, NeoGames took over Aspire in June 2022, and Aristocrat Leisure completed its roughly US$1.2B acquisition of Neo Group in April 2024. On June 26, 2024 every Anaxi and Neo Group brand folded into Aristocrat Interactive, the ASX group's online real-money division, and BtoBet stopped existing as a name. What remains is a 1,800-person division where the ex-BtoBet book is one line among iGaming, iLottery, content, and CXS.

Milestones

  1. BtoBet shows Neuron 3 at ICE and Betting on Sports, the platform generation the current Sportsbook Platform descends from.

  2. Aspire Global agrees to buy BtoBet for €20M plus an earnout of 7x second-year EBIT minus the €20M (Sep 17), closing in October at around 100 staff.

  3. NeoGames completes its tender offer for Aspire Global in June, the sportsbook's second owner in two years, and AG Communications settles a £237,600 UKGC case over AML failings.

  4. Aristocrat completes the roughly US$1.2B Neo Group acquisition (Apr 25), stands up Aristocrat Interactive and retires the BtoBet brand (Jun 26), signs two DirectBe white-label brands (Oct 5), and MagicRed opens Ontario (Dec).

  5. Betiton joins Ontario (Jan), the £1,407,834 AG Communications settlement lands (Mar 4), FireKeepers goes live on the full stack in Michigan (Oct 8), both Ontario brands close (Nov), Dylan Slaney replaces Moti Malul as division CEO (Nov 3), and FY25 division revenue prints up 53.8% (Nov 12).

  6. btobet.com has redirected since January 2025, and the Massachusetts iLottery contract starts July 1.

Where they're pushing next

  • US omnichannel accounts on the FireKeepers pattern
  • .com and EU-facing white-label operators on the MGA umbrella
  • Brazil stays the open gap, with no sportsbook certification
  • A$1B division revenue by FY2029 is the target, with iLottery and content doing most of today's lifting
