Groove Review
5.2/10A Curaçao-licensed casino game aggregator, rebranded from GrooveGaming in June 2023, with 20,000+ games from 150+ providers through one API, plus a separate catalog of 4,000+ sweepstakes-ready titles. It holds no US state supplier license and no UKGC.
Our read
- Ten years of continuous operation through a full rebrand, from the 2016 GrooveGaming founding to the 2023 Groove Technologies era.
- 4,000+ GC/SC-ready sweepstakes games from 60+ studios, with a back office of their own.
- Groove Command covers the operational side: RTP, volatility, and bet-limit insights, license filters and regulatory marking, multi-brand control, Instant Tournaments (2025), and self-service Free Round Bonus.
- Azərlotereya OJSC, Azerbaijan's state lottery, signed in July 2025.
- Supply-side relationships span the decade, from Microgaming Quickfire (500+ games, 2019) to Hacksaw Gaming, Vivo Gaming, GoldenRace, and KingMidas Games.
- The entire business rests on a single Curaçao GCB license (OGL/2024/309/0142), with no technical certifications behind it.
- No public API reference or sandbox.
- The Brazil approval is still an announcement, with no live market behind it.
Curaçao-licensed and other offshore casino operators that want a broad catalog with promo tooling through one contract, and US or LatAm sweepstakes operators shopping for a ready-made Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin game library with a back office behind it.
Regulated real-money operators in the US or UK, since Groove holds no state supplier license and no UKGC, and any buyer who needs technical certifications or a second license behind the vendor before signing.
Markets & licensing
Groove runs a 60-market content business on one license: a Curaçao GCB OGL issued to Groove Technologies N.V. in the 2024 series. The company spent its first seven years as Malta-branded GrooveGaming and now runs through the Curaçao entity that came with the 2023-24 rebrand.
Groove holds no US state supplier license, so regulated real-money iGaming supply in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, or anywhere else is unavailable through it. Its US pitch is the separate sweepstakes aggregation catalog for social-sweeps operators running the Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin model without gambling licenses. That segment is real but contracting: Montana and Connecticut moved against sweeps casinos in mid-2025, and New York, New Jersey, and California signed bans in the second half of the year.
Groove holds no UK Gambling Commission license, so a GB-licensed operator has no route to its content.

- Announced June 2026
Licensing tier: One license deep. The 2024-series OGL places it in the post-reform GCB regime, a step above the old sub-license era and still the bottom tier of supplier licensing.

Groove holds no supplier approval of its own in any locally regulated market.
Casino content
Most of any catalog is the same aggregated shelf every competitor can license. What separates providers is whether any of it is their own work, and whose studios are behind it.
Integrations & engineering
One contract and one API instead of a separate deal per studio, feed, or PSP. Here's what connects, how fast, and on what stack.
Everything routes through one Unified Casino API that carries the games and the integrated bonusing, with a separate Marketing API on top for promotions. The sweepstakes catalog runs on its own track, one API into 4,000+ GC/SC-ready titles, and the GrooveOn turnkey wraps the aggregator in a full casino stack with CRM, payments, and an affiliate module.
Most partners complete integration in under 4 weeks, depending on customization needs, with the sweepstakes product going live in days.
Products & tools
The two catalogs sell separately: a casino aggregation API and a sweepstakes catalog built for the Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin model, with the Groove Command back office running promotions and compliance filters over both.

Groove Game Aggregator
The core product: one API into 20,000+ casino games from 150+ providers, with bonusing built into the same connection and Groove Command handling the operational side.
- Single Unified Casino API with integrated bonuses
- 20,000+ games from 150+ providers
- Slots, table games, live dealer, crash, instant wins, and arcade content
- 3+ new provider integrations and 100+ new games every month
- License filters, localization, and regulatory marking across 60+ markets
- Integration in under 4 weeks for most partners
Sweepstakes Game Aggregation
A separate aggregation product for sweepstakes casinos: 4,000+ games built for Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin dual-currency mechanics, sourced from 60+ studios and aimed at US and LatAm social-sweeps operators.
- 4,000+ GC/SC-ready titles from 60+ partners through one API
- Slots, video poker, blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and fish games tuned for dual-currency play
- 100+ new titles added monthly
- Back office with player tracking, payments, tournament and leaderboard customization, and analytics
- Aimed at US and LatAm sweeps operators running outside state gambling licensure
- Go-live in days, with dedicated account managers
Groove Command
The operational console behind both catalogs, nicknamed 'Sinatra': portfolio management, financial monitoring, RTP and bet-limit insight, multi-brand control, and compliance filters, plus the promo tools shipped in 2025.
- Portfolio management with session history and financial monitoring
- RTP, volatility, and bet-limit insights across the catalog
- Multi-brand control with per-brand compliance tracking
- License filters, localization, and regulatory marking for multi-jurisdiction operation
- Instant Tournaments (2025), created and managed without technical intervention
- Free Round Bonus self-service plus jackpot and limited-time campaigns
Platform & capabilities
Everything the product does out of the box. If a feature isn't listed, the vendor either doesn't offer it or doesn't say.
Crypto maturity
Operators check this capability first, and depth varies enough between vendors to grade it.
The history
Longevity in this industry usually comes with a change of owner somewhere in it.
Founded in 2016 as GrooveGaming, with Yahale Meltzer aboard as co-founder from June of that year, and Malta-branded throughout its first era. On June 12, 2023 it rebranded to Groove Technologies, moved to the groovetech.com domain, and introduced the GrooveStudio and GrooveOn sub-brands. The entity behind the business today is Groove Technologies N.V. in Curaçao, holding a 2024-series GCB license, with operating hubs in Israel, Georgia, and Malta.

Longevity and ownership
Switching vendors is expensive, which makes the company's staying power part of the purchase. What the contract says about your data decides how expensive an exit gets.
Groove vs alternatives
Most buyers in this market shortlist three or four vendors long before they take a single sales call.

Support & account management
You can't demo service before you sign, so what a vendor puts in writing is the only floor you can hold it to.
