Praxis Tech Review

7.4/10

Cyprus payment orchestration that never touches funds: 600+ PSPs and 1,000+ methods behind a cashier, hosted fields, or a pure API.

Our take

A multi-market operator scaling into Brazil, Peru, or the Philippines, and especially a group running trading and gaming brands off one payments team, is who Praxis Tech fits best. The Cyprus orchestrator has served Stake since November 2025. Pricing is on request.

Our read

Strengths
  • iGaming clients: Stake since November 2025, Codere Online with a January 2026 case study, and BOSS. Gaming since 2019.
  • A Peru MINCETUR registration, a PAGCOR listing, and a Praxis Brazil entity all landed in December 2025.
  • A complete integration ladder (hosted cashier, hosted fields, pure API) lets an operator change integration depth without changing vendor, on v1.3 docs with a testing guide, webhooks, and an MCP server.
  • Five decline-recovery mechanisms, including insufficient-funds retry at a lowered live amount and open-banking retry, sit alongside AI Smart Routing (July 2025), which keeps a human approving routing changes.
  • Certified to PCI DSS Level 1 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, with Visa Verified Service Provider status.
  • Bootstrapped and founder-led since 2014, with no VC or PE ownership churn.
Watch-outs
  • No published SLA, support hours, or support-channel list.
  • The broker clients predate and outnumber the casino operators, and features like the virtual terminal come from the trading desk.
  • Pricing is on request, with the full fee stack (setup, monthly, per-transaction) landing on top of each PSP's own fees.
  • Sandbox credentials arrive only through onboarding, with no self-serve signup.
  • Praxis Safe runs on CyberSource, so the fraud engine is Visa's rather than Praxis's own.
Best for

Multi-market casino and sportsbook groups expanding into LatAm and Asia on regulated licenses, Curaçao-plus-MGA hybrid operators, and companies running forex and gaming brands that want one payments layer across both.

Not for

US-facing brands are ineligible under written policy, operators who want a partner in the money flow (settlement, custody, payouts from pooled funds) need a PSP or acquirer instead of a technical layer, and small single-market startups will find the fee stack heavier than one direct PSP deal.

Where you can run it

Markets & licensing

Praxis holds no license and needs none. Its services do not include transaction processing or handling clients' funds, a technical-connector position it has held since October 2020. Security attestations run to PCI DSS Level 1, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and Visa Verified Service Provider status, and December 2025 brought regulated-market registrations in Peru and the Philippines plus a Brazil entity.

United States
Excluded by policy

Clients located in restricted or sanctioned jurisdictions, including the United States, are ineligible under the client-acceptance policy. There is no US money-transmitter coverage and no state gaming-vendor registrations, and the exclusion is written policy rather than a licensing gap.

United Kingdom
UKGC operators accepted

UKGC licensees are on the accepted list alongside MGA, Gibraltar, Curaçao GCB, and Cyprus NBA operators, subject to jurisdictional risk appetite, legal opinion, and ongoing monitoring. Praxis itself needs no FCA authorization because it never enters the money flow, so the regulatory weight of a UK setup sits entirely with the operator's license and its contracted PSPs.

How it connects

Integrations & engineering

One contract and one API instead of a separate deal per studio, feed, or PSP. Here's what connects, how fast, and on what stack.

One unified API

One contract with Praxis, direct contracts with every PSP. The merchant picks an integration depth: the hosted Cashier iFrame, Hosted Fields embedded in its own form, or the Praxis Direct server-to-server API, all against the same REST/JSON v1.3 API with webhooks and a unified back office. Routing rules, the five-mechanism Decline Recovery Suite, and AI Smart Routing (human-approved changes) apply across all three, and Praxis Safe adds CyberSource-powered risk screening as an add-on. Because Praxis does not process transactions or hold funds, each PSP relationship, its settlement terms, and its fees remain between that PSP and the merchant.

The history

Longevity in this industry usually comes with a change of owner somewhere in it.

Praxis started in 2014, built by founders with forex-trading and iGaming merchant backgrounds. The first Cyprus entity, Praxis Cashier System Ltd, was registered in Limassol in August 2016, and a second entity, Praxis Tech Ltd, carries the current brand. The company has been bootstrapped throughout, with no funding rounds or M&A at all, and co-founder Amit Klatchko has led it from the start.

Longevity and ownership

Switching vendors is expensive, which makes the company's staying power part of the purchase. What the contract says about your data decides how expensive an exit gets.

Praxis Tech prices per deal, so exact figures land in the contract rather than on a public rate card.

Access/setup fee plus monthly fee plus per-transaction fee, stacked on top of each PSP's own processing costs

Pricing is fully on request. The shape is an access/setup fee, a monthly fee, and a per-transaction fee, with overall cost above running a single PSP and a better fit for medium and large merchants.

Onboarding path

  1. 1Contact Praxis sales for scoping
  2. 2Pass KYB under the client-acceptance policy: a gaming license from MGA, UKGC, Gibraltar, Curaçao GCB, or Cyprus NBA, plus a transparent corporate structure with identifiable beneficial owners
  3. 3Pick the integration depth: hosted Cashier iFrame, Hosted Fields inside your own form, or the Praxis Direct server-to-server API
  4. 4Contract each PSP directly, choosing from the pre-integrated network, because Praxis never sits in the money flow and settlement stays between you and every processor
  5. 5Build against the public v1.3 docs at docs.praxis.tech and run the sandbox testing guide
  6. 6Configure routing priorities, Decline Recovery mechanisms, and Praxis Safe rules, then go live and track approval rates in the unified back office
